Home Gardening Program For Response To The Food Crisis
This program implemented through selected vulnerable groups of pregnant mothers and families with kids under the age of 5. These home gardens will act as urban nutritional garden models for each neighborhood. Project under the collaboration of Family health officers and Public Health Instructors attached to the mainly local government or central government system will establish and monitor these home gardens. Project will establish a training support network for continuous training and problem solving of nutritional home garden establishment and management. This training network and urban nutritional home garden models will be act as a guidance to other interested lower income groups to join the network and establish their home gardens leading to an expansion of the model implemented. This project will also establish a seed saving mechanism and seed exchange network.
