In conjunction with World Environment Day, LOAM and SANASA International organized a program on ‘Environmental Awareness and Discussion on Future Environmental Conservation Efforts around Mattegoda Area’ on 05.06.2025 at the LOADI Grove Training Center, Mattegoda. The event focused on raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices for environmental protection and climate change.
The program was enriched by the participation of Mrs. Samadani Kiriwandeniya (Director of SANASA International) and Mr. Palitha Sri Geeganaarachchige (Indegenous medical practitioner). They shared their views on community health and environmental interdependence.
LOAM Special Project Director Ajantha Palihawadana, Senior Program Coordinator Fazly Mohamed, Assistant Project Manager Dhanusha Jayatissa, FIAN Sri Lanka Program Manager Asanka Ratnayake, Field Officer Richard Francis, Technical Advisor Rasika Kumarage, Media Officers Gayathri Chandra and Shehan Kosala joined the program.
