With the support of the Lanka Organic Agriculture Movement (LOAM) and the Misereor Project, a meeting was held at the Honnaththara Community Development Centre in collaboration with the Samagi Women’s Farmers’ Organization to distribute planting materials and discuss future activities aimed at promoting organic farming, home gardening, and agroecology while strengthening sustainable farming communities.
During the programme, planting materials were distributed to 30 women farmers of the Honnaththara Samagi Women’s Farmers’ Organization on 12 July 2026. The area’s Development Officer also participated in the event.
The programme was facilitated by Dhanusha Jayathissa and Chamod Madhuwantha, officers of the Lanka Organic Agriculture Movement (LOAM).
